Solid Bung 27–34mm – No Hole

Description

The Solid Bung 27–34mm provides a simple way to close compatible demijohns and fermentation vessels when an airlock is not required. Its tapered shape allows it to fit securely into compatible vessel necks, while the solid design contains no centre hole.

Solid Bung 27–34mm for Demijohns

The tapered design allows the bung to fit compatible vessel necks within its size range. It measures approximately 27mm at the smaller end and 34mm at the larger end.

Because this is a solid bung, it does not include a hole for an airlock. Therefore, it is suitable when you need to close a compatible vessel rather than fit an airlock for active fermentation.

Compatible with 5L Swing-Top Demijohns

This 27–34mm solid bung fits the 5L swing-top style glass demijohn.

Please note that FNQ Homebrew does not currently stock this style of 5L demijohn. It is different from the current 5L Glass Demijohn with Cap, which requires a larger stopper.

Always check the neck opening of your vessel before ordering to ensure the 27–34mm tapered size is suitable.

Solid or Bored Bung?

Choose this solid version when you need to close a compatible vessel without fitting an airlock.

If you need to use an airlock during fermentation, choose the Bored Bung 27–34mm – With Hole instead. Its centre hole provides the connection point for a suitable airlock.

Choosing the Correct Bung Size

Always measure or confirm the neck opening of your vessel before selecting a bung. A tapered bung should fit firmly within the neck rather than passing completely through the opening.
