Commercial Keg Couplers

Commercial keg couplers connect compatible commercial kegs to your beer dispensing system. Different keg styles use different valve systems, so choosing the correct coupler is important.

At FNQ Homebrew, we stock A-Type and D-Type commercial keg couplers, two common connection types used in Australia.

A-Type Keg Couplers

Brewers also commonly call A-Type couplers German Slider couplers. They slide onto compatible commercial keg valves to create the connection between the keg and dispensing system.

D-Type Keg Couplers

D-Type couplers are commonly known as Sankey couplers. They connect to compatible D-Type keg valves and suit many commercial beer dispensing applications.

Choosing the Correct Coupler

Always check the valve fitted to your keg before choosing a coupler. A-Type and D-Type couplers use different connection systems, so you cannot swap one type for the other.

Once connected, the coupler allows gas to enter the keg while beer flows out through your dispensing system.
