Description
The Duotight 8mm to 6.35mm Reducer connects 8mm (5/16″) OD tubing or fittings to compatible 6.35mm (1/4″) connections. It provides a neat push-in solution for beverage dispensing systems without the need for hose clamps.
This reducer forms part of the Duotight Generation 2 range. As a result, it combines a secure dual O-ring sealing system with durable Polyketone (POK) construction.
Connect 8mm to 6.35mm
One side accepts an 8mm (5/16″) connection, while the other accepts a 6.35mm (1/4″) connection. Therefore, the reducer makes it easy to transition between these two common keg dispensing sizes.
For example, pair it with our NukaTap Duotight Compatible Stainless Steel Short Shank to create a push-in connection between the shank and compatible 8mm OD beverage line.
Beverage Line Options
For beverage dispensing, connect the reducer to our Beer Line 4mm ID × 8mm OD when greater flow restriction is required.
Alternatively, our Beer Line 5mm ID × 8mm OD provides another option for compatible keg dispensing systems.
Duotight Generation 2
Duotight Generation 2 fittings use two O-rings made from different materials. First, the EPDM O-ring provides excellent chemical and gas resistance. Meanwhile, the silicone O-ring remains flexible at low temperatures.
Generation 2 fittings use Polyketone (POK) instead of standard acetal. As a result, POK provides excellent chemical resistance, UV resistance and durability for brewing and beverage dispensing systems.
Generation 2 Features
- Connects 8mm (5/16″) to 6.35mm (1/4″) compatible connections
- Dual EPDM and silicone O-ring sealing system
