Ball Lock Keg Dip Tube O-Ring

Description

The Ball Lock Keg Dip Tube O-Ring provides a replacement seal for the gas or liquid dip tube on compatible Cornelius-style kegs.

The O-ring fits around the dip tube beneath the keg post. When you tighten the post, the O-ring seals the dip tube flange against the keg body and helps maintain a pressure-tight kegging system.

This replacement seal suits our 19L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel and 9.5L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel.

Replacement Dip Tube Seal

Ball lock kegs use separate gas and liquid dip tubes. Each tube sits beneath its corresponding keg post and uses an O-ring to create a seal.

Over time, these small O-rings can become worn, flattened or damaged during keg servicing. Therefore, replacing a worn seal is a simple but important part of maintaining a reliable keg.

Gas and Liquid Dip Tubes

The same O-ring can seal the dip tube beneath either the gas-in or liquid-out keg post.

For the gas side, see our Stainless Steel Gas Dip Tube – Short. This short tube sits beneath the gas-in post and suits our compatible 19L and 9.5L Ball Lock Kegs.

For the beverage side, see our Stainless Steel Keg Dip Tube – Long/Liquid. The long tube directly suits our compatible 19L Ball Lock Keg and can also be cut down for use with the shorter 9.5L keg.

In addition, both replacement dip tubes come supplied with a dip tube O-ring. This individually sold O-ring is useful when you only need to replace an existing seal or want to keep spare seals available for future servicing.

Inspect the Seal During Servicing

Whenever you remove a post or dip tube for cleaning or maintenance, inspect the existing O-ring for wear or damage. For example, look for flattening, cracking or other damage that may prevent a reliable seal.

Replacing a questionable O-ring while the keg is already dismantled can save you from pulling the keg apart again later.

A small amount of suitable food-grade keg lubricant can also help protect the O-ring during assembly.
