Description

The Stainless Steel Gas Dip Tube – Short is a replacement gas-in dip tube for compatible Cornelius-style ball lock kegs.

This short stainless steel tube sits beneath the gas-in post and extends into the top section of the keg. It is compatible with our 19L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel and 9.5L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel.

Short Gas-In Dip Tube

Unlike the long liquid dip tube, the gas dip tube only extends a short distance into the keg. Therefore, it allows gas to enter through the gas-in post without extending down into the beverage.

The stainless steel construction also makes the tube easy to clean as part of normal keg maintenance.

Includes Dip Tube O-Ring

This gas dip tube comes with a dip tube O-ring for sealing the flange beneath the keg post.

If you need an additional replacement seal, we also stock the Ball Lock Keg Dip Tube O-Ring individually.

When fitting the tube, make sure the O-ring sits correctly beneath the flange. Then tighten the gas post securely to create the seal.

Compatible FNQ Homebrew Ball Lock Kegs

However, Cornelius-style kegs have been produced in many different designs over the years. As a result, this replacement tube may not fit every second-hand or older keg.

Keg Servicing and Maintenance

Inspect the gas dip tube whenever you remove the gas post for cleaning or servicing. For example, check the tube for damage and inspect the O-ring before reassembly.

In addition, a small amount of suitable food-grade keg lubricant on the O-ring can help protect the seal during assembly.
